GCS Firehouse
GCS is located in the newly renovated Springfield Fire House No. 2, originally constructed in 1926. According to reporting from that time, the new firehouse would provide better protection for the city's west side. In addition to 16 firefighters, the building accommodated "two 750-gallon pumpers, combination hose and chemical apparatus... dormitories and recreation rooms."
Members of the GCS team purchased the building in 2024. In early 2026, the full restoration and renovation of the building was complete, with the first floor redesigned as an event space and the second floor housing the GCS offices.

The GCS Firehouse is available for your private events! Our unique space includes a full bar area, lounge furniture, tables and chairs that can be arranged in various ways, a staging kitchen with appliances, and two gender-neutral restrooms. The space is located in Downtown Springfield, steps from the State Capital Building, and quickly accessible from major City thoroughfares.
